HANDS DOWN THE WORST CHICK-FIL-A I HAVE EVER VISITED!!! IF YOU EXPECT TO GET THE FOOD YOU ORDER AND PAY FOR THROUGH A DRIVE THROUGH THEN DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
In general Chick-Fil-A is a great place to eat because they have great food. Unfortunately, good food is about the only thing the location in Boone, NC has going for it. Simple stated, good luck getting what you order through the drive thru. About 50% of the time what I order is either not available or I pay for it and it is left out of the bag which of course I find out about AFTER returning to work or home.
If they only messed up my drive thru order once a year or on a very rare occasion I would just blow it off and consider it no big deal. But it is literally every time I go visit the drive thru and I never go inside so I have no idea whether or not the dine-in service is as bad. Perhaps they don't worry about getting the drive thru orders correct because they know you are going to drive off.
Get this, if they don't get your order right, you pay for something you did not get, and then call to complain they will offer to give you the missing item on your next visit. On your next visit they will ask for your name before giving you the item you paid for and did not receive because it happens so often they keep a list of people that call in to complain and unless they have your name on the list you still don't get the item(s) you paid for but did not receive. WHAT A CLUSTER FUMBLE!
Yesterday I was in a store in Boone and lerking in the isles was a full size cow that caught me by surprise when I rounded the corner. The cow gave me a free coupon for a chicken sandwhich at Chick-Fil-A. It must have been fate, because in my head, I was debating where to each lunch, again.
I had not been to Chick-Fil-A in a long time. I was truly surprised how much better there chicken sandwhich is compared to everywhere else in town. Their large waffle fries I easily devoured. The drive thru now has personal attendants taking your orders : Its nice to speak to a real person!
Inside, there were many customer service attendants on the floor talking to customers, refilling their drinks, and handing out free desert samples on Tuesdays. I was shocked at the level of customer service and pleasantly surprised at all the new menu items. Tables were very quickly cleaned as well.
